The prototype of Breitling Top Time series dates back to the 1960s. Inspired by vintage racing cars of the same era, it incorporates design elements from sports cars (such as dashboards and paint colors). In 2025, the Top Time series welcomes a brand new product. The most notable upgrade is the inclusion of the B31 movement. According to the brand, this is Breitling's first in-house three-hand movement, with a diameter of 28.4 mm, 26 jewels, a frequency of 28,800 VPH (4Hz), a 78-hour power reserve, and COSC certification.

Breitling introduces the Caliber B31 – the first three-hand manufacture movement designed and developed by the brand – with a new Top Time model.

Measuring 38mm in diameter and boasting chronometer certification, the Top Time B31 forgoes a chronograph function but retains a motorsports-inspired aesthetic.
To introduce this new movement and model, the Swiss brand has tapped American actor Austin Butler to join their “Breitling Squad”.
